Amalia of Cleves, 1539, by Hans Holbein the Younger.

Amalia of Cleves (1517-1586) was the younger sister of Anne of Cleves, the fourth wife of Henry VIII. Anne and Amalia had their portraits painted by Holbein in 1539 and those portraits were sent to Henry as he was considering both sisters as possibilities for his fourth wife. Based on their portraits, he chose Anne, whom he married in 1540 and divorced later that same year. Amalia never married.
