Interviewer: Do you ever take your characters home with you and drive Sibi crazy?
Christian Bale: Some of them do stay with you, yes. I think she liked The Machinist the best, because I was so calm and quiet. I think it was a nice change for her. She doesn’t like all my characters. But she sees it this way – she gets to live with many different husbands.
I LOVE that he did it, on his own—no studio pushing—and with his lovely wife. He is a class act. And not just visiting the memorial, but also visiting some of the victims in the hospital.
But I have to say—I would have FREAKED if he’d come in my room unannounced, because when I’m in the hospital, i hardly ever put on makeup. I think I would’ve asked for at least three minutes so I could make myself presentable for Christian. And I still would’ve been speechless.
More massive kudos for Christian Bale—here visiting a shooting victim in the hospital
What a great, great guy.
This would be awesome. I can totally see this happening, since Mary will need a lady’s maid once she’s in her own house.
Random spec… based on this article with Joanne Froggatt!
“Anna’s promoted later in the series to be an official ladies’ maid rather than a jack-of-all-trades housemaid doing ladies’ work.”
And gets a hand-me-down dress from Mary, and talks about Mary’s support of her, still – but of course if M/M are married early in the series, the only way they can have their epic friendship still is if Anna is Mary’s official lady’s maid… in Crawley House!
Am I mad? :S

So many massive, massive kudos. Way to go.
