“Barefoot at the Symphony” Releases March 6!

Idina is excited to share with you that on March 6, 2012,  Idina Menzel Live: Barefoot at the Symphony will be released on full-length CD and DVD!

Idina’s first live solo recording, Barefoot at the Symphony was recorded over two nights at Toronto, Ontario’s Koerner Hall at The Royal Conservatory with Marvin Hamlisch and the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony.  The CD will feature several songs that you won’t see when the concert special begins airing on PBS affiliates on March 3, so make sure you pre-order your copy TODAY via Amazon.com.

Emily cooks: Simply Salad

I just got home about, oh, 20 minutes ago. 

Hair cut. Work until 5 because it was a session day. Groceries. 

I’m hungry. 

So here was dinner—a revamped version of Rachael Ray’s Jackson Salad

  • Butter lettuce
  • 1/4 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp. capers (brine drained off)

Place in large bowl. Toss lightly to blend.

  • 1/3 c. EVOO
  • 1/4 c. balsamic vinegar
  • 2 shakes Worchestershire sauce
  • McCormick Montreal Steak seasoning, to taste.

Whisk for dressing.

Take some of the salad and place in smaller bowl. Add dressing. Top with a bit more Montreal Steak Seasoning. 

EAT.

This has potential for a good side for lunch tomorrow!
