I actually have the opposite problem: I LOOK like a soprano—a small blonde girl—but I am a dramatic contralto. It’s SO funny.

The best way to sum this up is one of the voice professors at Capital: “So you’re the little girl with the big voice.” (I had sung as part of a recital that he’d attended) Most people expect me to be a Laurie or a Julie Jordan, but really, the voice is not that. At all. đŸ™‚ Although, as I’ve gotten older and the voice has matured, I can sing those parts; they’re just not my bread and butter.

Yeah, I’m alive…

Whew. This week before Christmas is killing me.

It feels like it should be AT LEAST Wednesday. And it’s not.

Today we have our Office Christmas Lunch, which was generally fun. Then I came home to the delivery of a Christmas gift: a new bookshelf for my office, which is about 75% filled already…because I have THAT MANY BOOKS.

So culling has been happening. It’s ruthless now, especially since I get a lot of books for Christmas. So there’s still room for the new books, but the fiction has been pretty roughly culled. I’ve been able to add a few college textbooks to the shelves, which is a nice plus (especially my Modern Drama text)

So for the rest of the week:

Tomorrow: Lunch out w/ my parents.

Thursday: 20s group

Friday: Last day of work for 2010. đŸ™‚ Huzzah!

I can make it, I can make it, I can make it…Â
